Eight Flavours, Four Strengths: The CLEW Range Explained
The CLEW range covers eight flavours — Cool Mint, Spearmint, Menthol, Wintergreen, Blueberry, Watermelon, Coffee and Citrus — and each is available in 5mg, 10mg, 15mg and 20mg. That is 32 combinations, and no physical shop in the UK stocks anything close to all of them.
Flavour and strength are entirely independent. A 5mg Cool Mint tastes identical to a 20mg Cool Mint; only the nicotine content differs. That means you never have to give up a flavour you like in order to change strength, which is worth knowing before you choose.
Key takeaways
- Eight flavours, each available in four strengths — 32 combinations in total
- Strengths are 5mg, 10mg, 15mg and 20mg, measured as nicotine per pouch
- Flavour profile does not change with strength
- Every can holds 20 pouches and includes a catch lid
- All pouches are all-white and tobacco-free
- New users should start at 5mg regardless of previous nicotine experience
- A pouch is designed for up to 45 minutes under the upper lip
The four cooling flavours
Four of the eight sit in the mint and menthol family, and the differences between them are more distinct than people expect.
Find Your Favourite
Cool Mint is the crispest of the four and the most popular starting point in the range. Clean, sharp and straightforward.
Spearmint is the softest and sweetest. Rounder than Cool Mint and less sharp, which is why it is often the gentlest introduction to the format.
Menthol leads on the cooling sensation rather than on sweetness. More intense in the mouth, less sweet on the palate.
Wintergreen is distinct from the other three — warmer, slightly herbal, closer to a traditional wintergreen profile than to a mint. It divides opinion more than any other flavour in the range.

The two fruit flavours
Blueberry is the more rounded of the two — sweet, slightly jammy, and the most direct translation for anyone used to fruit e-liquids.
Watermelon is lighter and fresher, with more of a clean finish than Blueberry. It is the flavour most often picked up by people who find mint too sharp but do not want anything heavy.
The two distinctive flavours
Coffee is the outlier in the range and the one people are most curious about. Roasted and rounded rather than sweet, and the closest thing in the range to a tobacco or dessert profile. It is not a coffee substitute — the flavour comes from food-grade flavour compounds rather than from coffee itself.
Citrus is bright and sharp, with more zest than sweetness. It sits at the opposite end of the range from Coffee and works well as a change of pace when a mint starts feeling repetitive.
The four strengths
The figure on the can is nicotine per pouch. It is not a measure of how much your body absorbs, which varies between individuals and depends on how long the pouch stays in place.

If you are new to pouches, start at 5mg regardless of experience with cigarettes or vaping. Those figures do not convert across — our guide to picking your first strength when coming from vaping explains why in detail.
It is easier to step up after a few comfortable sessions than to recover from starting too high. Our guide to feeling lightheaded covers what happens when a strength is above your tolerance.

What is in the can?
Every CLEW can holds 20 pouches in the lower compartment and has a catch lid above for used pouches, so you always have somewhere to put one.
Inside each pouch: nicotine, plant fibre, a pH adjuster, food-grade flavouring and sweetener, held in a permeable fleece bag. No tobacco leaf. Our guide to what is inside a nicotine pouch sets out each component.
Choosing your combination
1. Pick your strength first. If you are new to pouches, that is 5mg.
2. Pick a flavour family — cooling, fruit, or something different.
3. Start with one can rather than committing to a flavour you have not tried.
4. Once you have a flavour you like, it is available across all four strengths.
5. Try a second flavour before you settle, as taste fatigue is common with any single profile.
Multi-can bundles are worth considering once you know what you like. Our price guide explains how to work out cost per pouch, and our guide to how many pouches to use per day covers pacing.

Nicotine is highly addictive. CLEW Pouches UK products are intended for adult users (18+) only. They are not suitable for non-smokers, those under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone with a medical condition that could be affected by nicotine. Do not chew or swallow the pouch. If in doubt, please consult a healthcare professional.
